Fire, wind, seasons, rain and a plethora of biological processes all play a role to complicate the web of life in an ancient forest. There's no getting around it. With only 10% of Oregon's ancient forests remaining and much less in other regions of the Pacific Northwest we're loosing the race to uphold life on planet earth.
