Week 284 big change for beaver in the beaver state

For many decades beaver have been considered "predators" in the State of Oregon. They've been managed lethally without recourse. Oregon is known as the "Beaver State".  The species has been strategic in the formation of the State. So much so that it is one of the few States to have an animal on its flag. A golden beaver. It is now recognized as a keystone species.
